I think it would be to study the immune system (I hope this isn’t cheating as I realise its still technically biology!) – it’s really important in cancer and it would be interesting to understand more about how it works.
Outside of biology – hmmm. I never studied physics (I did double science GCSE) so maybe I’d pick that, because it comes up a surprising amount in my work. For example, I’ve started looking at radiotherapy in my research and am having to learn the basic physics from scratch!
Astrophysics! The solar system (and beyond!) are really interesting and I’m sure I’m not the only person who got interested in science as a child partially by looking up at the stars and wondering what was going on.
