• Question: What was the subject you were best in at school, if you remember?

      It definitely didn’t feel like it at the time, but I think based on my A Level scores alone, Maths! I found it really hard though, so I guess it just shows that studying works 🙂

      I did best in fine arts, enjoyed psychology and statistics too.

      I’m the same as Karin. My best A level grade was in Maths too! I think it’s because I liked (and still do like) solving puzzles, which maths exams are full of.

      I was best at English Literature funnily enough given that I went into science in the end! Sometimes the thing that you’re most interested in isn’t necessarily the thing that you’re best at at school, but as your career progresses (especially if you go into research) being interested enough in something to be willing to put the extra work in counts for a lot.

      It was a combination of biology and ancient history for me, I found both very interesting and enjoyed them
